Opening Hours

 

The Bright Railway museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 2pm – 4pm, September to mid June.
The museum will also open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays 2pm-4pm during the Autumn and Spring Festivals and Victorian School Holidays.

Entry fee is $5 for adults and children 12 and under free when accompanied by a paying adult. Students up to 18yrs free.

Bright & District Historical Society also manages the historic Gold Ore Crushing Machine and museum (near Dougherty’s Bridge on the corner of Coronation and Churchill Avenues) on the 2nd and last Sunday of the month from 2 pm to 4 pm. Entry is $5. EFTPOS available

Both the Bright Railway and the Gold Ore Crushing Machine Museums are closed for the winter. That is June, July and August.

The Bright Railway and Gold Crushing Ore Machine museums can also be opened at other times for groups by prior arrangement with the Secretary.
