The Bright and District Historical Society was formed in late 1996 by a group of very motivated locals with the intent of preserving as much as possible of the rich and interesting history of the township of Bright and the surrounding district.
The obvious choice for their Headquarters was of course, the now vacant railway station, circa 1900. Complementing its status as the only brick railway building ever erected in the Alpine Valley, the museum contains many interesting relics and memories of past inhabitants and industries of Bright and surrounds.
We extend a warm welcome to our visitors and hope you enjoy your time in beautiful Bright.
